What is SimPatient?

A quick tour of the platform and what you can do with it.

The SimPatient patient library showing scenario cards.
Your library - each card is a patient you can practise with.

SimPatient lets learners practise real clinical and care conversations with AI patients. Instead of role-playing with a colleague, you talk to a virtual patient that stays in character, responds in their own words, and reacts to how you communicate.

Every patient lives in your library as a card. Open one and you can practise in three ways:

  • Chat - a text conversation, available in every scenario.
  • Audio - speak to the patient and hear them reply.
  • Video - a face-to-face conversation with a streaming avatar.

After each consultation you reflect on how it went, and SimPatient generates structured feedback on your communication. Educators build their own scenarios with the scenario wizard, and organisations manage learners, cohorts, and access from one place.

SimPatient is for practice and training. The AI patients are simulated - never enter real patient information into the platform.
